We stock and have access to the broadest range of Compact Fluorescent (non-integrated) Lamps either in the OSRAM or PHILIPS brands.

KOALA LIGHTS is dedicated to the environmentally responsible disposal and recycling of all lighting waste.
We actively encourage and support our customers to do the same. We are a signatory Supplier & Collector Facilitator to the Lighting Council of Australia’s FluoroCycle initiative, a voluntary product stewardship scheme aimed at increasing the national recycling rate of waste mercury-containing lamps. Recycling these lamps helps minimise the release of mercury into the environment.
The Australian Government has confirmed the timetable for phasing out legacy lamp (bulb) technologies - often referred to as traditional or conventional lamps - in line with Australian regulations and international treaty commitments.
Several lamp types have already been discontinued, with more scheduled to be phased out over the next 2–5 years. Lamps that were manufactured and imported prior to their phase-out deadlines may continue to be sold through supply channels until stock is exhausted — except for regulated incandescent and halogen lamps, which must not be sold after 3 October 2030.
Some incandescent and halogen lamps will remain permitted, including MR16 downlights, G4, G9, AR111, high-temperature oven lamps, infrared lamps, aircraft lamps, and decorative lamps under 10W.
For many legacy lamp types, energy-efficient LED alternatives are available. In some cases, existing light fittings may need modification to ensure compatibility and performance when switching to LED lamps.
At KOALA, we work hard to identify, source, and supply the lamps you need — including compliant legacy stock (when available) and recommended LED alternatives if required.
